Yes. Storm marketing takes only 5% of each deal, unlike some collectives that mostly take 10% and some much more. It is run at a considerable loss for now by a law firm whose partners are all SJU grads and are crazy big Johnny basketball fans. Think of this: $1 million in NIL raised brings them only $50k with which to market on both ends (contributors and athletes) and the law firm absorbs all personnel costs. They are legit and run by a totally stand up guy and good friend.I haven't done a deep dive on this but I trust the 2 posters on this thread over the years. This is legit and going to the kids?
I signed up a while ago for the monthly donation. It is the cost of 2 cups of coffee per month. No brainer for me, IMO, even if you are not in love with the current NIL environment.Yes. Met one of the principals at our Novita gathering. A good guy. I'm a tough sell since I look at this like one big Gofundme campaign, but he made some very valid points and I firmly believe he and his partners are honorable guys.N$L pavements to NCAA athletes cannot come from the school, but must be paid by a third party (person or entity).
The N$L payment can be from a single payor (ie. UMiami billionaire Ruis), or by a “collective” which collects money from multiple parties and pay the money collected to a school‘s athletes.
Storm Marketing is a collective supporting StJ’s athletes. I do not know the gentlemen running Storm Marketing but Mike Cragg told me that he is aware of the collective and views it in a very positive manner.
if you can afford $9,99 per month, then there are worse places to put the monthly contribution to support StJ’s athletes.

Long time season ticket holder, at many SJU events, supports the AD, and even make road trips to away games. Great job JK. I wish we had 20,000 like you and the Mrs.

The impact of this ruling is significant. Well worth discussing here
I’m definitely not well versed on this but I think basically you make a big donation to a collective it’s not tax deductible donation nowCan someone help explain
Thanks.I’m definitely not well versed on this but I think basically you make a big donation to a collective it’s not tax deductible donation now
Well 9.99 a month is still a decent amount . Not everyone agrees with this . I get why people donate but also try to understand why people don't and shouldn't be pressured . If you're a yankee fan shouldn't you support by donating money to a minor league player? No. I also believe this kids are getting paid w a full scholarship ride and room and board. Yes Nil should be given by companies that make l on net off these kids not from an individuals walletN$L pavements to NCAA athletes cannot come from the school, but must be paid by a third party (person or entity).

Well said NJF. These kids, many of whom haven't even stepped foot on a college basketball court yet, are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars(or more), plus all the other perks that come with being a high D1 athlete in certain sports. If someone is willing to pay them, then good for them. It's just not gonna be me for the time being.Well 9.99 a month is still a decent amount . Not everyone agrees with this .
