 St John's wins against Duke with some more size. Top 5 team if this team stays intact and they get Bigs. This is a WELL COACHED TEAM that is coming together. Having Branch, more depth, and Bigs and this team is a legitimate title team.

Exactly! If I'm Gathers or Sampson, I sign on the dotted line tonight. I realize that each college has to "fit" for each individual....but come on! This situation is SCREAMING for any above average big guy in high school to commit.
Seeing this...I really wonder what Pelle must be thinking right now... 
 
 Even Dookie V stated at the end of the game that St. Johns is a Big Man away from being a great team..... Let's hope that Mr. G and Mr. O listened
 
I Don't see how Obekpa doesn't commit after this game.....no way Mason Plumlee sets a carer high in rebounds and the zone would be able to extend out further. Obekpa should love this type of defensive game and fast break.

So damn sad thinking what could be with a motivated Pelle on the team next season. :unsure:
 
should be thinking about it...but everyone knows he isn't...  sad to watch young people throw opportunities away like this
 
Will be a damn shame if we can't get a great recruiting class to surround this kid with. PLEASE COACH get us a 4 and 5 along with some depth. 
 
 If there was ever a program on the rise its SJU. Gift and Mo will be gone after next year.This is certainly a great opportunity for some talented bigs, they will get plenty of pt and exposure as well as great coaching ,and the opportunity of playing at MSG w a rejuvinated program.
 
 I think we instantly turn into one of the best defensive teams in the country with Obepka and another good defensive-minded big.

Surrounding the likes of Branch, Garrett, Pointer, Harkless with some good defensive bigs? Wow...
 
Dickie V mentioned Lavin is in Louisiana recruiting Gathers today. I wonder how true that is considering he also said Lav will see Sampson play tonight :$  Anyways, like was said...I can imagine the impact of a recruit watching St Johns play with their head coach sitting next to him and his family on the couch. Just imagine how Lavin would be working it telling him and his family exactally the spot he would play and how he is so sorely needed. Playing time? No problem. Big stage? What could be bigger. The players around him? Tons of talent and an even better attitude. I'm really not sure that if Lavin is on an in home in the Gathers household watching this game, we don't see a commitment.
 
Were in great shape, just gotta be patient. Its tough because we have spots to fill and only Branch committed so far but big time help is on the way

With (if) all of this years team returning, next year we are very good (top 15 to 20) and awesome after the right big guy gets his feet wet.
 
Stating the obvious, but we gotta get some size anyway/anyhow... Was at the seton hall game last night against Louisville and Louisville has that 6'11 kid with arms that go down to his knees, he was altering/blocking everything inside... Seton hall has 3 bigs and only one with any offensive ability Pope.. Louisville won the game primarily be ause of their big and seton hall missing free throws at the end. We ain't the only team missing FT's.

1 big 6'11 kid with some ability.. Even an overseas big with another 6'9 stud would would work.. If coach can't get the bigs in sight to come, then he needs to think overseas.
