I am denied access to the Other Forum space for some reason and I HAVE to vent; typical, typical, typical Mets. They break your heart every time, every single time. No game is ever safe for a franchise that just puts on the field one player after another that have no clue how to win. Winning is a culture and so is losing and they have cornered the market on players that know how to lose. best starting pitching in baseball and they find a way to blow every big game they get in.

This was the most frustrating loss of the season. We brought a two run lead into the 8th against the Nationals best Pitcher and had Familia available to shut the door. I realize Parnell has pitched well for a short stretch but he is still finding himself. Once he walked DenDekker he needed to be removed.

I know they want Meija in the 7th, Parnell in the 8th, and Familia in the 9th but this requires all 3 pitchers to be on and pitch well. In a big game like this since Sammy pitched well in the 7th I think they should have sent him out for the eight and gone to Familia if needed in the 8th at some point or of course for the ninth. This way you only need 2 of them to do well and one already was. Nothing is a sure thing but this is what I would have loved to see done.
