Hurley video - Great insight

Thanks for posting. The Hurleys, like the Millers, have been well taught by gifted, intense & successful fathers/coaches. Danny H sounds so much like Bob SR. Bobby seems more understated, but knows the game for sure. I think they, like the Millers, will have much success as coaches for years to come.

good video. Like his no nonsense approach.
Watched second half of uri nebraska game last night though and was surprised that uri's offense didn't look any more sophisticated than ours. It was the weave with a lot of guys trying to break down the defense off the dribble. At the end they got up 6 with several minutes to go (thanks to two Jared Terell clutch threes! boy would it be nice to have him) but then they started holding the ball till 10 seconds was left on the shot clock and getting stuck with bad shots off one on one moves. That was after multiple time outs where they seemed to be talking about what to do. Thought the staff did a bad job of managing the end of that game. They pulled it out because they hit the shots they needed to and go a timely block but it was in spite of the coaching. Was very surprised - expected to see an organized offense but did not.

Agree on spotty offense. D was solid though.

I would want to see more games but that display of in game coaching would worry me about him as the possible future SJU coach.

One of my earlier college bball memories is Danny's and Bobby's mom wearing a half Seton Hall half Duke jacket and looking so distressed in the stands as Duke beat the Hall. Danny never had as much talent as Bobby on the court but he always left it all out there.

I don't recall a player who took as much hell from his own fans than Danny Hurley. Whenever he would come in the game to sub Bryan Caver, there would often be a collective grown. His less than stellar play as ^An underclassman was vilified by Hall fans especially considering this was during their glory years of PJ and Dehere.

... And the fact that he was a Hurley. Pirate fans were hoping he'd be the second coming of Bobby, which he clearly wasn't.
