Contracts seem to mean nothing. Would have been our fate with him at some point too.

If you look at old Duke clips, Hurley's eye rolls in coach K's direction in huddles would have made Harrison blush. Doubt Hurley ever takes over for coach K. He would have to pass over a long line of disciples.

If Hurley was in line for the Duke job, wouldn't he have been, at some point, on the bench next to Coach K? Job is probably Capel's. Maybe Wojo's, if he does well at Marquette.

He's not jumping from Buffalo to Duke, so this gives him 4 years or less to Coack K's retirement to establish something that makes him a viable candidate. He's not a lifer there.
 
Can't blame him. I thought he would have been good here, even if short-lived. I never imagined Mullin would be available, so I am very happy, but would not have been disappointed with BH.
