Organizing Novita, with Max there, organizing the terrific ZOOM, with Hannah and Mary, getting the word out to all of us near and far to DONATE, is such a great thing for Mike, Aubie and team to have done.
Personally, I had tears in my eyes, last night on the ZOOM call. Putting so many faces to names I knew from the site was heartwarming and then the great Paul stories were flowing and so good to hear. And so good for Paul's daughters to hear.
Mike and SJU85 zooming in from Novita was great too, especially with the Tribute at Halftime news.
BUT, far and away the best part was hearing directly from Paul's lovely daughters, Mary and Hannah. Paul would be so proud. You cannot find on this planet two more outstanding women. I could have listened to what they had to say all night. (Mary's story about Donald Emmanuel signing his autograph on the top of a vending machine, alone, was a priceless gem!).
Most of all, the genuine gratitude and generosity that they spoke of when they spoke about us, was beyond beautiful. I left that Zoom with moist eyes, but a huge uplifted spirit. Somehow, in this tragedy, Mary and Hannah made one feel better.
These two young ladies who just lost their wonderful dad to a horrible illness, yet, they spoke elegantly and eloquently, about what this site meant to their dad and by extension them, and they thanked all of us for what we've done. We reminded them that their dad did much more for us, than we ever did for them. I meant it when I told them that Paul's Love is imprinted on their hearts and the hearts of all he touched.
It was beautiful. Thanks again to all those behind the scenes who put this together, and I apologize if I left anyone out.
I am sure those at Novita had the same experience with Max.
