How Much is Your College Hoops Team Worth?

Nice increase to $55 mil. (22.3%) since Mullin arrived.

I'm amazed we're #37 after the last twenty or so years. Imagine the value if we were a perennial top 15 team. If you are confident that would be a great investment to make if it were possible

I would have thought Creighton would have come in higher given their attendance.

That valuation is probably driven by the location and relationship with MSG.

And television ratings as well. Even when we are playing poorly we still get higher ratings (by viewers not market share) than Creighton because we are in the largest television market.

That has everything to do with location. Wonder if real estate value enters into the equation as well.

As we've discussed here many, many times, this program holds huge potential. But like an untapped resource, it's going to take an investment -- and some time after that investment to build what has to be built.

Opening the wallet to hire Chris, Slice and staff was a pretty dramatic shift toward investing in the program. Give it a little time and good things will happen.

Now all we need to do is "get good" again, and we can really set things in motion. I also feel Georgetown needs to step onto the scene a bit more and become a team that they should be. The conference needs core teams like Nova, Georgetown and SJU to step up for visibility.

Villanova is certainly doing their part! SJU and Georgetown have not!
