Got home early evening, turned on the game just as the 2nd half was starting, we were down 20+, watched Wusu hit a three, thought to myself, "It's only going to go down hill from here". Shut the TV off. Went into the kitchen, made myself an Old Overholt Manhattan, got out the Wasa crispbread, spread some hummus on it and added some roasted peppers and marinated mushrooms.
Since this is restaurant week on LI, had some leftover short ribs from George West in Syosset, nuked it and polished off the rest of the Manhattan with it while the wife had the rest of her lamb shank.
Went on line to see the final, now headed back to the kitchen for a George Dickel 7 yr. old Tennessee bourbon on the rocks.
With some variations I have discovered the perfect way to (enjoy) the rest of the season.
