Is it me or should we be scared of this team given how poorly we defend against the 3? Additionally, I will be there tomorrow but I do have 2 extra tix if anybody wants...no charge.

Why should we be scared of a team that shoots 33% from 3?

Or are you just stereotyping thinking a Holy Cross team would light it up from 3 ;)

If we are to do anything this year, I would say Holy Cross should not pose a real threat. Maybe they make it interesting, but if we don't pull away I'm worried.

I heard Heslip has an identical twin on HC :D

Sir, i sent you a message about your extra tickets.

After losing to both Murray St. and Baylor in the Charleston Classic, I would hope that our players come out ready to play tomorrow. If they don't, this is going to be one long season in Queens.

At what point are we supposed to start winning basically every game? It's absolutely troubling if we can't beat HC.

I still think it is going to be a great season. That said, we should plow through Holy Cross and everybody else on into Big East play. We have too much depth and talent to have big letdowns to teams like these. I want to see us take care of business over next few weeks. Enter Big East ah with 2 losses.

Moose, looking at your karma kills me every time. LOL
A villain like Marillac is somehow +21.

Thats because SJUFan2 had no life and for a day just sat there lowering my karma. But as they say Karma's a bitch ;)

I'll be in the house tonight, first row court side seats- taking my son and one of his friends. Pumped up first live game of the year for me .

at least Holy Cross doesnt have that D3 kid who scored 138 tonite on 52-108 shooting including 27-71 from 3

Can he lift his arms this morning?

How would you like to be the kid on the other team who scored 70, which is probably his career high. Not only did his team lose, but he wasn't even the high scorer (by 68 points)!!

I will be in the house also, bringing my youngest. We are looking forward to it.

Getting W's these next 8 games obviously most important, but irrespective of score hope we see noticeable progress in the two areas that have been problematic for us early: defending the triple and wrapping up defensive possessions. We are so athletic and talented we could get by most of the rest of this OOC schedule on those two factors alone. But as we saw aganst Murray St. and (in particular) Baylor we need to develop in both of these areas before conference play starts.

I fully expect that we'll make this progress. Our matchup zone doesn't get picked up over night. We saw that with the 10/11 squad, the amount of wide open 3s they allowed in the first 8-10 games was mystifying, and by the time the Big East rolled around the rotations were in place and we were closing out shooters at an elite level. Need to make those same strides with this team these next 6 weeks.
