St. John's will play Penn State and Rutgers will face Fordham in the Holiday Festival at MSG on 12/18, sources told @CBSSports. #SJUBB

That's per Rothstein's twitter. He's usually accurate.

That's 3 Big Ten teams on our schedule, FWIW. 1 home, 1 road, 1 neutral site.
 
Rangers game is at 7:30 that night.

Assume this will start in the morning. Hopefully we have second game.

I'm sure that's dictated by FS1.

As an aside, Penn State usually brings a decent crowd. They won't fill the place, but it probably won't have that "empty" feeling, either.
 
Ughh. Terrible news playing Penn State. My son went there and the thought of him smugly walking out of the Barclay Center was more than I can bear!!

Although, revenge would be sweet. :) I will mention that he was divided as his Johnny blood is still red and he can't deny it.

On another note, I went to the Bryce Jordan Center and can only dream that Carnesseca was as nice as that. Football builds many things. Of course, I don't let on and frankly Penn State and hoops no matter how beautiful the facility is, it hasn't made them a top flight basketball school for sure.

I do not know them or the quality of their players but they are usually well coached.I know they have a Sr. Jordan Dickerson who is 7.1 THEYNHAVE ANOTHER PLAYER WHO IS 6.8 Not that these things matter much

They were much more competitive last year than in the recent past
Lost some games that they could have won had they had more experience
Chambers is a good coach and has them trending in the right direction

I hope Fordham is on our schedule also after last season's game.
