Saw an interesting chart in the most recent Sports Business Journal. It ranked the Top 20 highest revenue Men's Basketball schools. In light of us being a basketball only school I was very surprised to see Marquette as the only non football school in the rankings and also pretty high up there at 12 ($15.6M). Wonder what they do there to pull in that kind of money with such football juggernauts around them. Here is the list ranging from $40.9M to $11.5M.

1. Louisville
2. Duke
3. Arizona
4. UNC
5. Cuse
6. Kentucky
7. Indiana
8. Ohio St
9. Mich St
10. Texas
11. Wisconsin
12. Marquette
13. Illinois
14. Arkansas
15. Tenn
16. Minnesota
17. Pitt
18. Okie St
19. UCLA
20. Kansas

Interesting to see 4 Big East teams but only 2 from ACC. However 2 are the defectors. I wonder if their revenues will hold up in the new league.

I'd like to see the revenue breakdown. Is it just the money and tickets and merchandise or is donations directly gone to athletics included. Does the school think outside the box for revenue ? They do nice little events like the other day before the game and they have a nice kentucky thing lined up. This is probably up mooses area
