Heron

This kid has a head on his shoulders. Why make a rash decision when he can wait a few days and know who the next coach will be?

Finally, a rational player reaction!

If you want to keep the Herons and Cam Macks of the world on the roster, then Pitino for sure and Hurley probably are your only options of the candidates being batted around at this point.

He'd no doubt like to avoid having to sit out a year if he transferred. (Doubt the NCAA would give him another exemption.)

He has until the third week of April to declare. He also has no other choice but to see who is coaching. He is not going to transfer again. Coaches being pushed out late in the process is never ideal.
Of course he'll wait: Heron's dad is probably doing cartwheels that Mullin is out.
True LJSA, the vibes from Heron weren't 'positive' during the season, nor was the Tabor de-commit.
So, now all we have to do is get this coaching hire 'right'.

Get the right coaching hire - perhaps Heron stays and Tabor recommits

Agree. Suspect the Mullin exit was a positive with respect to Heron and perhaps a bit of a negative with respect to Simon who was clearly a favorite of Chris.

Got very contentious in final weeks of the season.
