Heron out tonight?
According to Zach B on Twitter. Concussion.
Of course we have to hope it is not a Yankees Clint Frazier long term type of setback.

“The highly regarded, 6-foot-5 wing sustained a concussion in Monday’s practice, the school confirmed, and is in concussion protocol. St John’s declined to offer a timetable, as is school protocol, but the expectation is he won’t be out long.”

Hopefully, the kid recovers quickly and has no lingering side-effects. Good to take it slow with this, and luckily, it's early in the season.

All for resting guys who are even slightly injured for the exhibition game, even if the injury is very, very minor.

Hopefully, we'll see him Tuesday, but they'll probably wait until Monday the earliest to make a decision, as well they should.

Scary for him I'm sure, especially since its the reason he xfer'd because of his mom having the same issue. Hope for a quick recovery and he gets ready for the season

Best wishes for speedy recovery.

Who starts in his place?

I’d guess Dixon? This is where the beauty of our depth is. Could also bring in L.J., Williams, Trimble etc...

With concussions it’s difficult to speculate. I was really looking forward to him playing tonight but it gives an opportunity for some of the other guys to get minutes they need. Really hope he plays the opener but no reason to rush him back.

Kit Kat could never be a sponsor, we just never get a break. It's ok though guys I heard Ray Ramirez said it's no biggie and he's going to be fine, just needs a decapitation surgery.

Seriously though, I hope Heron is ok, please basketball gods take me instead and heal the kid.
