Time to put aside all of our differences and get behind this amazing group of guys. This is just our third trip to the dance in 15 years. Think about that!

Recruiting, personnel, coaching preferences, coaching attire, and all of those other minor issues don't matter for at least the next week and hopefully for longer.

We've got the Big East tournament, a meaningful selection Sunday, and at least one game Thursday or Friday. If we make it to the second weekend, that will be enough to carry me a decade as a fan. Big Shot Phil will come through.

Legit question: Do we want to play 3 games in 3 nights? Obvious answer would be definitely, and lets win the B.E. championship.
With that said, we only go 6 deep, Chris and Branch are hurting, how is DLo holding up, I'm guessing Green's ankle is fine.
If we do play on Saturday night, I'll be praying that we're off until Friday.
 
If we are playing Sqturday night, we would be in a position, as far as seeding, where we would have no excuse for losing on Thursday.

Ummm. Yes.. It never bothered Jim Calhoun's Uconn teams who just played and won straight through the tourney to the NCAA champs. The boys gotta suck it up and play the best ball of their life over the next few weeks.

I have a friend in Army Ranger selection school. They are brutalized for something like 8 weeks, every day all day. Pain? No Tylenol, no Advil no nothing... Playing basketball for 40 minutes a dsy can be done and it has been proven by teams thst have done it before. Now is a time where excuses go out the window.

Winning has a tendency to heal the bruises a little quicker too.
 
How about we take it one game at a time. No gimmies here. Providence is good and wants to revenge the 2 losses. Just focus on one game.

Time to go on the streak of their lifetimes! Though not ideal from a scholarship distribution pov, we go through these four year periods where we get to watch these kids play the majority of the minutes as freshmen through their senior years. First with norm's guys 4 years ago, now this class. Gets a little emotional when you know the end is near. Wishing these guys the best. They deserve it.

You don't pass on a chance to win the BE crown. They are playing for their 4th league championship.
 
Every game we play the rest of this season...every game these seniors play in the rest of their college careers will be an elimination game.

Crazy how it all comes down to this.

But it certainly feels good to be taking the day off and heading to the city in a little while for a day of hoops although it's going to feel weird not sitting in our regular msg section with the crew. Get a win and who knows what happens tomorrow. March Madness !!!

Ditto the nervous part. My life as a Redmen fan has far more disappointments than days in the sun. I think beating Providence when it counts most and minimally going to the BET semis would erase a tiny bit of that

You should also be nervous because if they don't win today I'm not sure if I'll ever get you that $20. But if they do I'll give it to you tomorrow night. ;)
