It might be better for him individually, for his next contract.

Right now, obviously NBA rosters are very fluid. As presently constructed with Jimmy Butler and Dragic, plus the rookie Tyler Herro, Miami should compete for a #8 playoff seed next year.

So the Clippers get a future first-round pick to take on Harkless, who is another starting level forward with significant playoff experience to surround -- potentially --- Kawhi Leonard.

We will see how this turns out for Portland, but I thought they had some really good chemistry last year.
