Hard to believe...

...we have to live through another "coach" who can't "coach". Tonight was a complete farce. At points I almost felt sorry for him. His assistants, at least those who aren't comatose, add nothing. He needs to go at season's end. There, I said it ESPKEN!!

Now I know people who live in glass houses, etc. and not being exactly svelte myself... but a couple of those assistants (without naming names), could, ahem, on occasion forego the buffet in favor of the salad bar?

If I were the AD, I would be holding an 8am staff meeting tomorrow* and those accountable for the debacle would have some 'splainin to do.

I know that must have hurt GL. Just when we thought we hit rock bottom on Tuesday night.

He still gets until season's end in my book, but this is starting to get crazy. You can't lose at home to a middle of the pack Providence team. These guys just cannot close games. I am starting to entertain looking around to see what's out there in terms of coaches.

it's really sad because this particular season was important for so many reasons......new league, all of the realignment nonsense was behind us.....it felt like a fresh start with expectations that we could finally return to the top of the food chain.....it's so incredibly frustrating......i don't get to many games because i live in LA but i was able to attend the Columbia game at Barclays (which we barely won) and i was down in DC for the georgetown debacle, visiting some friends (gtown and sju grads).....those of us from sju left at halftime and went and had a nice lunch.....i really thought lavin was the right hire at the time because we were desperate to return to relevancy......now i want him gone.....i stopped following him on twitter last night because i feel like i need a shower after reading his tweets.....

This is truly incredibly hard to believe that we are at this point right now. I have two tickets to the Creighton game, club silver section 111, I'm thinking of selling them. this is horrible.

I will be selling my 2 of my 3 remaining games in section 109. I'm honestly not that upset. Disapointed, but not upset. Since we haven't won an NCAA game in 14 years, "it is what it is" at this point.

The school has several other good D1 sports to follow right now, and that's where we may want to put our focus.

I agree with Marillac. He gets the full season before we start calling for heads.

This is bumming me out because I really like Coach Lavin a lot.

But, I'm starting to think maybe we do need to go in another direction...once again. :(

Yeah maybe sell them to a Creighton fan, no SJU will buy them to watch Creighton smoke `em

I'm certainly not enthused about a glorious season, but I am not cashing my tickets in (to who anyways). It's still an event to trek into the garden. I run into old friends, watch some decent basketball - with this team they often have a chance to win for some 39.5 minutes. I expect they will win some games, hopefully right the ship, even if they aren't going anywhere. It will still be fun if they knock off a G'Town, or Marquette at MSG, and I still think they can do that. There is talent on the roster, and damn everything move Lavin makes can't possibly al turn to crap, can it? So the post season may take nothing short of a miracle, but I still think they are capable of putting it together. There is just too much talent not to be able to beat some of these team that they stay with all game
