Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing all of my redmen.com friends best wishes for a very Happy Thanksgiving and a healthy, happy and fun filled holiday season.

I am thankful for so many things and take none of them for granted. Most importantly, I have been blessed with good health, a wonderful family that I cherish each and every day and the ability to retire and really enjoy life in New York and Florida (and almost never have to wear long pants).

I am also thankful for the opportunity to interact with my fellow St John's alums and fans each and every day about the programs that we are all so passionate about. We may have different opinions at times but we all share a common bond - a love for St John's athletics. Many thanks to Paul and all of the moderators for making that happen. As a "member" from the beginning, you have provided me with many years of laughs and enjoyment on this site.

Here's to a Happy Turkey Day and to a great start to the 2018-19 basketball season. Let's band together and root like crazy for the Redmen to win the Big East and make some noise in March.

GO JOHNNIES!!!

Well said Mark. I echo all of the above, but I’m probably 10 years or so away from the NY/FLORIDA/No long pants deal.

Happy thanksgiving to all !!!

To all enjoy your day and the time with family and friends. I know we will be a lb or two more tomorrow Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgving all! Like Mark, I am also thankful for good health, a great family and a happy retirement in sunny NC so far. I will say my retirement has been made even happier by this great forum and all the great fans who contribute their thoughts and best wishes for NY's real team! Let's hope this is the year we shine both during regular and post-season.

Thank you Mark and all in our poster family -
a touch of history:

Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the United States, celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. It originated as a harvest festival. Thanksgiving has been celebrated nationally on and off since 1789, with a proclamation by George Washington after a request by Congress.

Blessings to all!

Happy Thanksgiving to all Redmen.comers and the St. John's family everywhere.
Here is the official proclamation written by Secretary of State William Seward and signed by President Abraham Lincoln on October 3, 1863http://www.abrahamlincolnonline.org/lincoln/speeches/thanks.htm

Thanksgiving fact. It's safer to eat the crispy skin off 10 turkeys and slam down a pumpkin pie than it is to eat Romaine Lettuce #nogluttonyguilt

Great sentiments expressed by Mark Redman to start this thread! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Summer year round is incredible!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here and their families. I have been in Florida for a long time, and don't miss the cold weather for even a second. I do miss watching Redmen games live at CA or MSG or even Rose Hill when they visited the Rams. If I don't waver last minute, I will be putting in my retirement papers next week. I am so glad the board will be here to keep me entertained and involved with SJU basketball even from sunny Florida.
I will have a very small group at my table this year, as I have lost a number of friends and family members over the past few years. Those close to us grow old and eventually pass, yet I will still give thanks today for the time I had them in my life, and for those who live on.

Happy Thanksgiving to all redmen.comers. I appreciate all the information and insights found here.

Special thank you to Paul for his exceptional efforts and the product he provides. Thanks also to Paultzman whose tips, information and insights make me keep coming back to check this sight multiple times a day.

An old friend went through a very difficult surgery yesterday. He came through it as well as could be hoped. I am thinking of him today as well as my brother who for health reasons won't be with us for Thanksgiving tonight. I am very thankful for my wonderful wife and children and the rest of my small family that will be with me. I am still young in the eyes of many but we all need to take one day at a time and enjoy as many happy Thanksgiving's as we can.

This board is very special to me as it has kept me busy in some difficult times and has become a part of almost every day. I hope that the program can keep enough people engaged that in my retirement I will still have this wonderful outlet.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Enjoy the rest of the day and I am looking forward to Maryland Eastern Shore next week.
