Me too BJR!The Whooper being 76 (has me by a few), but I still feel old, as I followed Billy Paultz's ABA career (for that matter Kevin Loughery's NBA career too)
LeRoy Ellis was another Johnny of that era, I think I caught towards the end of his NBA Career.Me too BJR!
Posted this in keeping up w old friends thread originally prior to Kevin starting new thread lolSad that Billy's No. 1 fan doesn't even acknowledge him in this thread.
Sniff.
He also had a place near Hofstra in which he was a part-owner.I'd think The Whopper knows how to celebrate his birthday. The legend around Queens was that one year on Halloween, Billy showed up at Ten Downing Street in Kew Gardens (wonder what happened to that place) dressed as a giant 6'11" pumpkin. You older guys would know better, but it appeared that Paultz was no stranger to a good time and could drop.in at any local bar at any time.
The best Halloween outfit Iāve seen worn by a big man was a few years back when former Redmen Terry Bross dressed up as Buddy from the movie Elf. Downright cool and hilarious.I'd think The Whopper knows how to celebrate his birthday.
