40 years ago today, The Big East Conference made public it's first press release announcing the formation of it's new basketball league. It changed the landscape of college basketball in general and certainly even more so in our region of the nation.
Thanks, Big East, for providing us with great memories during the past 40 years. While I don't anticipate enjoying them for another 40 years, I look forward to doing so for many years to come. Another St John's title in the near future certainly would make it even more enjoyable!!
