Hall of Fame Classic Dates Set

Just an FYI, the dates for the Hall of Fame Classic are set - we play Nov 16 vs Vermont at home, and the 19th vs Columbia at home, then the 23rd & 24th at Mohegan Sun. For those planning on going to Mohegan Sun, the hotel rates at the resort have already gone up significantly for that weekend. I just reserved a room at the Holiday Inn Norwich which is less than 10 minutes from Mohegan Sun and much cheaper. Would be nice to have a strong turn out for both games especially if we somehow end up in the championship game.

I hope that Vermont game is in the early afternoon (which is something I don't usually root for). The reason for it, is totally selfish.

That's the best non-conference game at CA since probably St. Mary's during Harrison's senior year, and if it's late afternoon, or at night, I can't go. Seeing Elton John at Nassau Coliseum that night. Hopefully, it's a noon or 2 pm game, then I can go right to Jamaica Station afterwards.

Saw the Elton John Farewell Tour stop in Sunrise Florida last November
Great show - Elton was on stage nonstop for about two and a half hours
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

Mark, I've seen him 8 times previously, including once on this tour (MSG last October), so I know what to expect.

Going to this show for two reasons:

1. To see the new Nassau Coliseum, which I have not done yet.

and:

2. The person I'm seeing him with (a relative) has not seen him live since around 1974.

Ironically, when buying this ticket (way back in September - 14 months before the show), I had a possible SJU conflict in mind, but thought 2 things:

1. There are very few Saturday games in November, since TV prefers college football

and:

2. If there were one, it would probably be a soft non-conference one, for the same reason.

OOOOPS!!!

BTW, Mark, go see Rocketman. I was expecting to be very tough on it, but it was very, very, good (though the R rating is legit).

Mike, no worries if there is not a time conflict. I can drop you at the Coliseum after our game.

Paul, that's much appreciated. I will keep it in mind.

We will talk once it gets closer, should things work out (I might need a slight favor beforehand, too).
