Our Motivation
“As a life-long lover of this wonderful game of basketball,I am very frustrated by the lack of fundamental skills being taught by today’s coaches and (not) learned by our athletes. I want this to change. We have brought experts together who can show coaches how to teach these fundamental parts of our game to today’s players.”
STAFF
GUS ALFIERI - Gus has directed the All American Basketball Camp for 45 years, a camp known for teaching the fundamentals of basketball. He also was the Head Coach at St. Anthony’s HS, winning over 300 games, 4 NSCHSAA and 2 NY State Championships in just 19 years. His teams were known for their preparation and their suffocating defense.
RICH WRASE - Rich is one of the most successful basketball coaches in Long Island’s history, with Championship success at the High School level at Westhampton HS and at the collegiate level with Suffolk CC. He is presently a scout for the Los Angeles Lakers.
SHARI ROESSLER- Shari is the premier high school girls basketball coach presently on Long Island. Her team won the 2013 State Championship, her 3rd State title in her career at Massapequa H.S.
KEN ROOD - Ken is one of the best pure shooters in Long Island HS (and collegiate) basketball history. A 1973 graduate from St. Anthony’s H.S., he led the Friars to their first NSCHSAA title. He later was a star at Hofstra University during their storied 1977 NCAA tournament run.
KEN KOLAKOWSKI - Ken is a legend at St. Anthony’s where he worked his way from the 17th man on the freshman team to being the leading scorer and Division I scholarship earner on the 1974 NY State Championship team. He later went on to play at

Join us for 10 hours of exceptional basketball instruction as we help develop the next generation of Long Island basket- ball coaches. Over these four nights as we “Coach the Coaches”, you will learn from some of Long Island’s legend- ary basketball personalities. What you will learn will make you a better coach, better prepared to be successful this season and for many seasons to come. Attending this course will help your athletes to be better at playing the sport and help them enjoy the experience of playing this great game.
