@ Gtown!

If we can get Ponds and Herron to both score points in the same half, I would really enjoy watching what would be a really fun game.

Great to see Slick bounce back after a really rough performance against Hall by being so aggressive early and I expect him to do the same on Saturday.

Despite G-town's relatively sad ranking, rivalry brings teams towards the median so I'm already nervous.

I hope that's the MO going forward. If he shows aggression early they he attracts even more attention and opens up opportunities for the other 4 on the floor.

One of the things I'd really like to see against Gtown is to get LJ more involved. Guy has been tremendously consistent and I'd like to see him more in the 33-35 minute range per game as opposed to the 25-28 minute per game range.

Per 100 possessions (on CBB reference) his Offensive rating is 124.5 and Defensive rating is 93.4.
To put this into context, both ratings are #2 on the team among guys that have played more than 25 minutes on the season. Slick's ratings (#1 on the team) are 129/92.5. Last year Slick was 107.2/101.2!

This is a good player that really deserves more minutes! Give him all of Trimble's, who for reference is last on the team among players who've played more than 25 minutes on the season at 81.4 offensively and next to last at 100.8 defensively.

All valid points and metrics but being that we aren't deep the minute distribution has been fine (outside of less Trimble and more Williams in my eyes). More minutes might wear these guys down as we progress further.

My concern with LJ here is that he was playing 35 minutes vs. Mount St Mary's but 27 vs. Hall and 28 vs. Marquette?

I don't understand the minute distribution here.
For Hall, every other starter was over 33 minutes. For Marquette, every other starter was over 35 minutes. To play about 20% less than the other starters really perplexes me.

If we want to get the starters rest, let's do it. Let's find a real time to do it though and maybe treat Wagner and Marquette differently in LJ's minute distribution.

Do not worry about minutes this closely .He is on the court during crunch time. Additionally, I would suggest he is not in as good of condition and this probably does show to the coaching staff against higher level comp.

Interestingly, I was at the Marquette game, then watched it again when I got home. I did notice LJ slowed late in the game and was surprised.

Great win, with the 22 through 25 teams in the top 25 losing this week I think we have a great shot at cracking the rankings come Monday. I can see us along with Nova and Seton Hall all sneaking into the rankings, potentially leading to 4 Big East teams in the top 25 next week.

As for the actual game, I loved Keita holding his own on the perimeter against Gtown guards. Nice to see we have an added dimension to our offense with the pick n roll with a legit big in Keita rolling. Would like to see Heron out on the wing defending for once instead of being anchored in the paint battling the other teams big men. It leads to fouls and exhausts him. He battles for position down low the whole possession and does an incredible job down there but with keita back he should help alleviate those responsibilities. There was a sequence late in the second half where I keyed in on Heron, there was a possession where he was fighting for position down low with one of Gtowns big man only for it to end with a gut crushing 3 by Gtown. He goes down the court and nothing is really going on offense, he gets the ball in the corner and throws up a 3 that hits the side of the hoop. I knew and I think he knew as well that that ball had no chance of going in before he even shot it. Going forward we just to got to get him in his more natural position and he'll become even more dangerous.
