G the Menace is fast becoming my favorite player. He is showing us what we thought he would be when he signed with us. Since he fully recovered from his injury, he has really shined. I think the sky is the limit with him. With Posh coming next year, he will have a little less pressure of being a facilitator and more of a focal point of the offense. I believe he will really shine next year and the year after. Keep progressing young bull
..... I believe

He has really turned the corner and is becoming a bona fide BE player. Looking forward to watching him as an upperclassman. He also contributes in many ways.

Remember his “turnaround” next time a player is off his game. Maybe he was hurt or sick.

Exactly. Heron affected by knee and ankle, Williams back, Dunn has been sick. All cases were pretty obvious. Explosive leapers Heron and Williams rarely took the ball to the hole and rarely dunked, Heron became a stationary jump shooter. Dunn who has been aggressive and productive suddenly last two games becomes very passive, plays less, pretty obvious not to mention coach actually alluded to all these situations. As I'm sure we've all heard before ourselves-pay attention.

He stepped up down the stretch to lead the team in 3 point shorting percentage in conference games. He landed 12th best in the league in front of Howard.

Pretty remarkable.

Remember folks, Lavor Postell was pretty bad his first year. Stepped up a bit in his second but he wasn’t injured like GWill. Another kid who is proving that he belongs. It’s great to see.

Here is another way to look at Greg Williams' Big East season. In the first 13 games he was 5-25 or 20% from 3. In his last 4 Big East games he was 12-20 or 60% from 3. It appears that as the season went on he became comfortable and his confidence increased. He was in the starting lineup and showed that he belonged.

Remember, he missed most of the preseason because of a back injury and when he started playing, he was not 100%. His game relies on athleticism and quickness, trying to play with a bad back definitely hindered him early on.

I am definitely looking forward to his last two years.

He had a wrist problem that likely was just as big if not bigger factor

Another thing to consider, is that Greg was "second string until Heron went down for the season and CMA put him in the starting line up. Quite a step up for him and he may have been reticent about moving into Heron's shoes and taking "his number of shots". After 5 years in the roll, he started to take more shots in the Nova game and bang four straight double figure games for the young man. His confidence is on the rise and he is looking like the fellow who was gangbusters in HS.

We like anyone who strings together a few good games, then we turn on them when they play poorly - see Dunn, LJ, Heron, Rutherford, etc.

I like him, like almost our entire squad, a bunch of hard working kids who have had their moments largely by outworking their opponents even when we lose.

One more time for the people in the back. #3 IF AN ATHLETE TRANSFERS (LEAVES) TO ANOTHER SCHOOL, HE OR SHE WANTS A BETTER SITUATION, I.E., MORE PLAYING TIME/OPPORTUNITIES, BETTER ENVIRONMENT/PROGRAM, MORE EXPOSURE, ETC.

Is this something to be concerned about?

Uh Oh !

I wonder if he decides to leave if LJ comes back concerned about playing time. I want him back as he just started to scratch the surface late in the season.

Don't read into this. The tweet is from Greg's father who was responding to something posted by Jon Rothstein. Dad has been extremely complimentary of the staff and has expressed excitement about Greg continuing at St. John's as recently as one week ago.

Whoa! What makes you think that is what I'm saying? I was simply offering my thoughts about some things that are clearly misunderstood like the fallacy that athletes receive free educations. Nothing can be further from the truth.

I definitely would have read into it before he hit his stride. I think he plays a huge role next season (assuming he comes back. B))
