I've got 'high hopes' for this young man.
Go Greg!

Thanks for your consideration of the thread title Paultzman though unlike with Heron would not have been heart attack threatening just breath would have stopped for a few seconds. ;) :)

Nah, bama. No more 'doom & gloom'...we're on a roll...a roll, i say. Lol.
Here's to it...

I think Greg is going to be a heck of a player over his years here. He’s super athletic and long and has he potential to be a fantastic defender under mike Anderson. He will be “appreciated” more in a system like this where we go 10+ deep.

My only concern with Greg Williams this season is how well he will be able to play for St.John's while his attention is divided by his duties as the defensive coordinator for the NY Jets.

Classic dad joke!

This kid had every reason this past season to pout and be disappointed with his lack of pt, but he never crabbed, always appeared to be ready to jump in if needed and appeared to give it his all.
He is a great asset to the team and I look forward to watching him play, develop and be a key contributor under CMA over these next three seasons.

Williams and Roberts are both very athletic and have the potential to thrive in CMA's system
I am very excited to watch their development over the next three years

Because we had no big man and Trimble was part of the band-aid for that.

same height 6'3", but 15 lbs less at 205. Just seemed williams could have offered more at the other end of the court.

Williams is way more athletic but Trimble actually good post defender and held his own against much taller and bigger guys. Liability elsewhere and probably would have been better to give GW more PT but for whatever reason the previous staff just refused every year to bring in some bigs so our two best post defenders were Heron and Trimble with Simon doing a little bit of everything and everyone else chipping in in various ways.
