Thank you very much Paultzman for the post.
Wishing Greg St. Jean all the very best going forward. I am sure he will be a head coach one day in the not too distant future. I wish his time here could have been a little more successful.

Greg is clearly loaded with both talent and enthusiasm, an excellent combination. I wish him all the best and expect to see him successful going forward whether back in the NBA or in the college game.
We'll miss you Greg. Good luck & we'll be following your future endeavors with interest.

Classy note from GSJ. Good luck and continued success.

I think I under appreciated GSJ during his time here. He was given a role that few his age would be given but he ran with it, stayed positive and worked hard. If he succeeds as many of us expect, it will be nice to remember he cut his teeth at St. John's.

Kid is a class act. It will be fun to watch his career develop. I am rooting for him.

I'm a big fan of GSJ and would count him among my friends. He is a classy guy, incredibly mature for his age, and one of these rare people who is a positive spirit. He will stay a friends even as he moves from St. John's, and he told me more than once how much he felt at home here and how much he loved the school. I'm certain he will root for us going forward, much in the same way Lavin continues to say nothing but good things about St. John's.

Basketball is a funny game. Had Clark and Heron shot a combined 9 or 10 for 17 instead of 1-17 in the NCAA's, there's a good chance we win that game, and the staff would be intact today. That's not to say there weren't serious deficiencies that had to be corrected.

Good luck to a great guy. I hesitate to call a guy who took on so much responsibility here a "great kid", because that would be to marginalize him. Wish him only the best, because he absolutely deserves success and will work his tail off to attain it.

I will be following his career. Wish him the best. I truly believe he will have a successful career as a coach.

That's the right word "classy" to describe Greg. I had posted a while back that he had gone out of his way to greet my son and I at the Orlando Tournament last November. I always felt he was an excellent rep for St.John's. Good luck Greg.

Glad to see more than a few Classy Fans stood up to wish Greg the best in his endeavors . He worked real hard these 4 Years and deserves our thanks for his loyalty and service . Yes , there were a few cheap shots thrown Greg’s way but , most of us felt he made a nice contribution . He will be successful in his future Coaching career and we can take pride in having him here at St John’s working with Chris and Mitch and Matt . And , as Beast said, “ what may have been our Tourney fate if our guys had shot Better . “ I don’t think you can continue to point fingers at any Coach for the results , when Players don’t score and perform as happened more times than not last year . Certain of our Players, not named Ponds, didn’t contribute down the stretch last season. But , several of them are gone now and we have a new Coach . Hopefully we have Heron and Figgy returning next season , along with Wright , Steere , Carraher, Williams , Roberts and Earlington . Add in McGriff and maybe a late 5 th year player and hope for the best .

Best of luck Greg,You are going to do well on whatever you decideTo do. Thank you for your devotion and hard work

Greg: Thanks for your contributions to St John's basketball over the past 4 years
You clearly know your stuff and have a great deal of energy and passion for the game
You will do well and I wish you the very best of luck in the future
Hope to see you on the sidelines on TV again next season in the college or pro ranks

If Bob Thomas from Austin Peay, in the second round of the 1987 NCAAs vs. Providence, didn’t miss two 1 and 1’s in the last minute or the refs blew the whistle in the same last minute on a possible charge / push off by Billy Donovan on the tying basket Providence doesn’t go to the Final Four and Pitino’s career doesn’t get fast tracked and maybe takes a much different trajectory. If Jon Landau doesn’t go see Bruce Springsteen at the Harvard Square Theater and write a review with one of the more memorable lines in rock and roll lore, maybe Springsteen remains a relatively obscure albeit well respected live performer. The truth is life is funny that way.
