The article was excellent, thank you JSJ.
It should be known that some of those ideas were previously suggested by Beast of the East on redmen.com. He talked about mentoring and having corporations more involved in the lives of students to help more of them graduate in a shorter period of time.
I like Norean Sharpe, she seems to be doing a good job in her short period. Unless I'm mistaken she was able to get two sizable donations from alumnus, and form a new partnership with Deutsche bank.
She's also on the verge of replacing the MBA program with three specialized masters programs ( analytics, entrepreneurship and innovation, and Global managment). The school is giving her way more money than the last president. Hope she does good with it.

I really appreciate the shout out and credit. College students often talk about leaving the artificial environment of the university experience and entering the real world. Any collaboration with corporations can only assist universities in preparing students better for the workplace in any number of ways including improvements to curriculum, pipelines for internships and future employment, a source for adjunct teaching positions from people who are actually working in fields that students are training for, and many other ways.
I had a great meeting with a dean at SJU a couple of months ago. I know universities slow down during the summer, but I sincerely hope that they make the next move to reach out to me for more than a simple donation. I'll keep you all posted.
