Very interesting "all access" broadcast of the Providence - DePaul game on Fox Sports 1 tonight. Both coaches wore mics and you could hear everything they said to their players, the refs, fellow coaches, etc throughout the game. You heard both coaches in their huddles during each time out and well as in their respective locker rooms during halftime. It was fun to hear both coaches "work the refs" to try to get calls in their favor. To their credit, I did not hear any profanity from either coach. There were no commercials during the game. The commentators primarily reinforced and explained what the coaches were saying.
A unique and very interesting broadcasting format. I really enjoyed it and hope that they will do it again in the future. Kudos to Cooley and Leitao for allowing the game to be covered in this manner.
