“This is where I really wanted to be. Out of any program in the world, this is where I wanted to be.”

Great quotes from Amir. It's so rare today to see kids stay loyal in this recruiting game. Very refreshing.

Loved him catching that bullet pass from Gift and going up off a standstill for a throw down. He will be a very good finisher when all is said and done.

Agreed. Quick, explosive hops. Also liked the shot fake and drive to the basket he had in the first half. That's what we need from him, some explosion and attacking the basket. He's long too, some guys are 6'6 and look 6'4. He's listed at 6'6 but looks bigger out there.

At one point him and Gift stood next to eachother at halfcourt and he was right up there not much smaller than him

The problem is that tells you more about how short Gift is than how tall Amir is

I knew someone would say that. And odds were pretty favorable it would be you :)

i think amir is at least 6'6. Little taller than dom and a little shorter than gift.

Can someone stand them both (and Mo for that matter) next to AG next time he's in town to ease my worried mind. Lets just hope the dogs develop as much fight as AG had.

This would be a good analysis if Gift were 6'7"

I think you have the relativity correct - but I don't think Gift is more than 6'6". Though I haven't been out there with a tape measure.

Either way it looks to me like he will be an active rebounder, which we can sure use. What we really need is a 6'10" shotblocker and rebounder who can run the floor, but those don't fall off the back of a truck.

I remember that moment. I was also looking in that direction and for a moment I thought he was taller then Gift. Not to be but he is every bit 6'6" 190. A slightly larger version of Sir Dom.

Gift came in touted at 6'9.
We saw he wasn't.
We dropped him to 6'8 because Moe was coming out taller it seemed.
Now you have him down to 6'6????
He will be Glover 6'4 by New Years at this pace.

:)

UTPA lists their big guy, #13, at 6'7". I guess he and Gift were about the same size, so I'll give Gift 6'7". Of course, that assumes the UTPA guy is really 6'7". That would make Garrett 6'6" and Dom 6'5". I think Dom is a legit 6'5". Moe is taller than Gift, I'd say he's 6'8".

Garrett is going to turn a lot of heads when he get a few games under his belt. He plays within himself and rebounds well. He and Mo will help Gods Gift with their weak side help when people drive into the post. Both are fast off their feet with good timing. This team will have their ups and downs this year. They will be terrific by year three, maybe even year two. Hopefully they all stay around and get a few good additions next year as well as all the coaching staf stays around.

no reason to suspect this will not happen - they will stay, other talent will join them, and we will enjoy watching Lavin et al.

all the best

I'll say one thing about GG. I think it was last week at the Garden - When he took off his warmup, his uniform shirt lifted up exposing his chest and abs. The kid is friggin scarily ripped.
