Next Sunday I will be competing in the Wall Street Decathlon taking place at DaSilva Memorial Field. The event raises much needed research funds for the pediatric cancer division of Memorial Sloane Kettering. This is my third year participating in the event. As a lot of you know, I'm a fitness junkie and being able to use that to help a great cause was a perfect match. Last year the event moved to SJU which made it even more special giving me a chance to compete in the shadows of the building where our storied basketball gym competes and where my father competed as an All-American swimmer for SJU.

In the history of the event we have raised over $5mm in funds which have been used to fund 2 clinical trials. For more information please visit my donation page listed below and please let me know any questions you have.

Great job Connor. Sloane is a terrific cause to raise money for.

Good luck next weekend.
And we'll have to talk swimming the next time I see you. Did you follow your dad into the pool?

I did not follow my dad to the pool. I was on the crew team in HS and played club lax in college.

Thank you very much to the guys who has made very generous donations!

Thanks you so much to the guys who generously donated to this cause.

The Wall Street Decalthon has come to a close. We raised over $1.5 for pediatric cancer research including an amazingly generous $9,400 from my friends, family and colleagues. I placed the best I ever have at 6th out of 31 in the 30-39 age group. I tied or beat my previous best in every event. Highlights included a 59.7 400m run, 4.8 40yd dash, 34 inch vertical and 25 pull-ups. Back to training for next year.

2015 Results
400 Meter Run 00:59.70
Football Throw 43 Yards
Dips 45 Reps
20yd Shuttle 4.22
40 Yard Dash 4.84
Pull Ups 25 Reps
Vertical Jump 34 Inches
500M Row 01:29.70
Bench Press 19 Reps
800 Meter Run 02:50.29

nice job ! still taking donations ?

Did the perennial second place guy finally defeat the Penn St. guy?

No jay took 3rd this year. He flipped places with perrenial 3rd place finisher Colin Zych. Mark is 6'2" 230 and fast and athletic. Jay is 5'11" 180. Jay just can't make up the difference in the events where size makes a difference (like he row) since mark still puts up great times in the skill and speed events.

Some real athletes there!

Some flat out freaks. The scary thing is these guys still aren't good enough for NFL standards, so imagine what a true pro is like...
