Glover vs. God's Gift

While watching last night's Iona and BYU game I was really impressed with the play of Glover, especially his forceful dunks. Let's face it, Glover was aggressive inside not having to use the backboard once but instead scored with his strong dunks. Whereas, Achiewa was soft inside on offense, not always dunking for easy putbacks. This resulted in missed layups and blocked shots.

Gods gift was only supposed to be a10/15 minute player. I think he wold be goodbin that role. He is clearly not a big east starter

Jack, not fair to Gift throwing him in the ring with Glove. Guy is a Wooden award candidate who has shot almost 70% in his 2 years at Iona. His 18 pts a game comes on only 11 shots. No one better then letting the game come to him. Mike is also 25 years old, and playing the game his whole life. Lets hope the staff and Gift successfully work on the things that you point out so he becomes the best he can be.

glover just filed for social security benefits this morning.

He makes Oldfan look young

Quite frankly, can't judge anybody's aggression this year...with lack of depth and limited fouls to give, our guys had to pick and choose spots to play aggressive this year.

Why is it necessary to take one of the metro area's very best players, and compare him to one of our guys for the purpose of criticizing our guy? I like Ahiewa's effort, and he appears to be an outstanding young man. Our coaches will get the best possible out of him - leave it at that.

Because I want to, that's why. First of all, I'm pointing out his weaknesses; I know he is a great kid. The Iona kid reminded me of our Anthony Glover. Unfortunately, Norm wasn't successful in getting Glover.

So Anthony Glover's brother reminded you of Anthony Glover. Shocking.

You do also realize that had Anthony Glover's brother committed to STJ instead of Seton Hall he still would have ended up ineligible and then after a couple lawsuits failed but his grades got in order he would still have been ineligible to return to the Big East.

I only saw a little bit of Glover in HS, but he wasn't this Glover. He was much slimmer and springier than now. Dont' forget Glover is 25 now. He should have graduated college years ago.
