Game Threads - New Format

We're going to be doing a new format for game threads. Each game will have 3 threads:
[ol]
[li]Pre-game[/li]
[li]Game [/li]
[li]Post-game[/li]
[/ol]

This is based upon feedback that the game threads are too long and a little disjointed when there is a lot of pre-game discussion and game discussion and then coming to the thread fresh after a game and having to plow through so many posts.
The live game thread will be locked after the game ends.

Post game thread is a welcome change. In game was good for those not watching the game but from past experience filled with knee jerk reactions.

Thanks Paul, this makes a ton of sense and will make it a lot easier (for me at least)

My only complaint in reading threads is when you get a long list of previous poster’s quotes. Can’t that just be limited to 1.

I understand. It is especially a problem on a small screen. I currently don't have a solution for this. So we rely upon members to use their own discretion until I can come up with an alternative.

If it is a long quote I'm trying to just copy and past the part I am addressing and write
Class of 72 said " blah, blah"
Of course much of what I say is blah blah so no need to ever quote me. :p

The problem is the tux is still using his circa 1989 palm pilot.

:) :) :) :) :) Thanks 72, I got a good laugh out that one.

Seriously though, when the threads start getting long, I too do the cut and paste thing.

Thanks Paul.

Another easier way is to hit quote and then delete all but the one(s) pertinent to the conversation.

Most of the people on here can't do that and then will cut the wrong part and it will look like other people are saying things

Sounds like most of these posts be transferred to the Complaints thread. :)
