My 55+ years working on substance abuse recovery with patients, families, and communities tells me that CBD in a vape pen (Cannabidol, the non-psychoactive component in hemp products that has muscle relaxing and analgesic properties) is a cruel excuse to hold an American professional basketball player hostage during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Don't know the most effective response to this injustice but silence from the basketball community at all levels is probably not it.
