Very poor job by the announcers. Graphics blocked out a key SJU possession that they turned over. Also showed SH record as 3-1 when there record is 3-2 . The bald guy with glasses is very hard on SJ. Who is he?

........was captured in Central Park and released into the Bronx woods.
Now all those yuppies originally from Palookaville, USA can walk their Labradoodles again without fear.

I thought it was weird late in the second half when it was our ball, they flashed a full-screen graphic with no commentary on what was happening on the court, and when they came back 15 seconds later it was Providence's inbounding the court on the other side. They made no mention of what happened. Hahaha The game was already decided by that point.

Dick Stockboy had a terrible game announcing, has continued to get worse for at least the last 25 years.

Give him a break... he's older than class of 1872.

I am wondering how many announcers have played this game?

Thought Donny Marshall was the best color guy I've heard in years. Last night's duo was a joke.

You want to see bad? Watch any UCLA or PAC 12 game where Bill Walton does the color. Last week his partner at the game gave him a CD with Dylan and the Greatful Dead and all he did was talk about music and concerts for 40 minutes. Once a Dead Head, always Dead Head!

I was watching the UCLA vs USC game last night after ours and he was doing it. I love hearing it because it's so bad it actually makes the games funny

I really thought that was the worst officiating I had seen in many years.
I replayed the game this morning for some family members and they commented that
it seemed the refs were determined to keep SJU from running Providence out of the gym, with
phantom fouls. I was upset that Lavin didn't deliberately get a technical just so he could have three minutes screaming at the ludicrous nature of the some the calls and to make them aware that
he wasn't going to take them "making it close". I didn't blame Harrison for having to walk off the court to cool off for a minute or Lavin for looking astounded multiple times.
Since I felt that strongly I was also surprised at how little comment was made by the announcers about so many controversial calls. In fact, in two cases, when the fouls were against SJU (like when Providence ran up the floor on Harrison's back and the ball went out of bounds, they called it Providence ball instead of a foul) or...well, there were many...the only comment was "GOOD PLAY by whatever Providence player had just gotten away with the abuse.
We should have won that game by 25 points if we got 40% of the close calls. I admit the refs also fell for the Pointer drama act on one play. Anyway, I thought it was so overtly one sided, it should have gotten some more commentary.

I really miss John Celestand... He was great and called many of our games on SNY. Hes an old BE guy, it would be great if FS1 picked him up.

Commentators try to avoid criticizing the refs too much. Occasinally, they will point out a missed call but they seldom make a big deal out of it. We, as fans, probably see more injustice than there really is over the course of a game.

That being said, I don't recall ever seeing a goaltend called on a blocked dunk. As for the foul called on Dlo and then changed to Obekpa, they looked at the replay and saw no foul. They can't take back the call so they had to change it to another player. CO didn't foul either. Fortunately for us, Dlo wasn't forced to the bench.

Fox needs to hire the guys who did the Great Alaska shootout a few years ago. Those guys sounded like my high school av dept doing the morning announcements.

Fox without a doubt has the worse group of announcers ever. They are terrible. Last night Stockboy and his colorman were outwardly pro Providence. I am glad however they televise all Big East games. There are times they are so bad, I mute the sound.
