Agreed. I was impressed with Tarik and I really like the personal St. John's knowledge and how they referred to SJU as his alma mater all night.

I love Raf but damn was he weak or what? He is my favorite color guy of all-time, but he is not the same in studio.

I didn't watch much but Raf's discussions with Lavin about LA restaurants and the like was pretty ridiculous.

For those that weren't around to see him coach against us while he was at Seton Hall you would have hated him. At least I did back then but have come to like him as a broadcaster. He used to rip off his sports coat and fling it to the ground and stomp around and whine on every call against him. Plus we had a pretty good rivalry with the Hall in those days.
 
Studio is definitely not Raf's strong suit, but he's fine for now. He is so great with Gus Johnson during games, I can't wait for those two to commentate some of our games this year. I thought the Fox Sports tip off party broadcast was great, I love to see the Big East get this special treatment that I had to sit and watch ESPN give the ACC for so long. I counted and think we have 25 games on that FS1 channel, which is pretty remarkable. I live in Delaware, and had to go to ESPN3's awful quality online to catch a lot of St. John's games against weaker non conference opponents. But even our games against Mounmouth/Longwood/Columbia are on FS1, and I find that very convenient. Also, does anyone know if the two games at Barclays will be on television? On the St. John's website it says TV coverage is TBA so I was wondering if anyone here has any information? I live near a bunch of annoying Penn State fans, and am dying to see that game. :)

Don't remember where but I think I read he's having his own CBB show on foxsports1. Think it said it debuted on November 3

He's hosting a Big East preview show at 9 pm that night. Not a regular series.
 
Gary Williams and Kevin O'Neill very interesting choices.
