This would seem to be a good sign about our upcoming TV contract negotiations with Fox Sports that we're included in this idea. Personally, I think this would've been a cooler idea as a mid-season tournament. Can be an interesting break from conference play and see how the conferences stack up against their peers. Play on Wednesday/Friday/Saturday/President's Day is the championship.

Ironically we would've qualified for this nearly every year under the last couple coaches (last year we would've been the 10 seed playing 7 seed Nova), and at least the teams would all be Power teams. That said, hopefully we won't participate anytime soon.

Main takeaway is that between this and the Gavitt Games negotiations leaking, the Big East must be deep in contract negotiations with Fox. Very good sign to align ourselves with the other top two basketball conferences.
