I didn't see the final stats but at one time during the game we for 4 for 16 from the line and many of those 12 misses were downright ugly! Chris has to be losing sleep!

Unfortunately, I do not recall a St. John's team that was good at foul shooting, for some reason.
That's a looooooooooong time ago.

Mullin's first couple years they weren't bad which is why it still kills some of us that Mullin missed couple big ones.

We've had just two teams in this century make over 70%. Hamilton/ Mason led the way for the 2006/7 team and Hardy/Kennedy led the way for the 2010/11 squad.
This current group has the lowest % at 63.7%. They do have the infamous 2003/4 team and Lavin's mainly sophomore team in their sights as both teams were a shade over 64% with CO shooting an amazing 39% as we painfully witnessed.
I'll be pulling for this team to pull themselves out of the free throw shooting basement.

At one point in the So Carolina game, Christian Jones missed a foul shot and then looked over at the bench in frustration. He then threw his next shot up and missed the basket completely. It was an awful thing to watch. But I wondered, why is he looking at the bench instead of paying attention to shooting the ball.
In order to make a foul shot the player must remember the word BEEF (foul shooting 101)
B-- bend your knees
E- elbow in
E- eye on the basket
F- follow thru
