That yr at the Polo Grounds I was on the Ralph Kiner show with Ron Santo analizing my little league swing.
 
Was just watching a 1963 N.Y. Met Yearbook video on SNY featuring Bob Murphy interviewing Eddie Kranepool, Grover Powell ( a pitcher who played college ball at U Penn) and Larry Bearnarth (who, as you know, pitched at St. John's and is a member of our Hall of Fame)

Larry was a good friend. Came from S.I,. would stay over my house on weekends, played for me along with other STJ players in the Semi Pro Queens Alliance. Got a great break signing with the Mets,. actually the Red Sox wanted to sign him as an outfielder.
