FDU Coach Greg Herenda

I was sitting in section 3 row o last night and could hear this guy stomping his feet and ranting and raving all game. At one point during a timeout he knocked the clipboard out of his assistant coach's hands. What was his deal? I understand trying to keep your team motivated in a game you have no shot of winning but I think this guy was a little over the top. I felt bad for the one kid that had the seat at the end of the bench cause he got the brunt of every tantrum.

He Is intense in the mold of PJ Carlesimo.

This post makes me nostalgic for the Mike Rice days.

You haven't seen intense until you've seen Jimmy Patsos coach.

Patsos is quite a character & is a legend in DC bar scene. He needs an AC assigned to just tuck his shirt in. Btw, he is tight with Brian Cashman, both members of the Catholic U carousers. :)

Was in section 10 directly behind their bench. He is a lunatic, and it seems as if he was putting on a show. Quite a few times he mentioned that this game is on national tv, etc. So I believe the TV exposure was really getting to him and in his head. Weird thing is that he would scream at his AC's and not the players. Frankly, he just could not handle the limelight and was trying to put on a show.

PS- Their youngest AC was getting heckled, all in fun, by a few SJU fans in the section, it was pretty funny. Poor guy is never gonna wear that tie again.

Einai malakas...

Nobody has stomped that much since Danny Hurley patrolled the sidelines of CA with Wagner.

Lappas' kid?

I loved to see Raftery, Layden & Rollie roam the Alumni Hall sidelines years ago

Watching them in action was often more entertaining than the game on the floor
