Fan Cutout In Memory of Diego

As most of you know St. John’s is accepting photos for fan cutouts. Myself and a few other Redmen.com folks decided to see if the school would accept the attached photo of our good buddy and alum Diego, who passed away in March. Unfortunately the photo has to be vertical so the photo we’d like to use won’t work. I reached out to some people in the Athletic Department and I told them that if they can somehow make an exception I’d try and see if anyone would match the amount of the cutout ($85 which I’m happy to pay for). Thankfully a few of Diego’s friends have already offered to match the cost. I’ve been told the school is considering the exception but it’s not official yet. If anyone would like to match (or donate whatever amount you’d like to give) please DM and I’ll keep you posted once I get an answer from St. John’s. I DVRd the game and watched it late so I skip the commercials. Really glad to see this when they were coming out of a commercial break. Great job NYCRedmen and pals and, St. John’s administration.

Would have been nice if announcers could have been given a heads up on the background and spoken some words as a tribute to the memory of a great St. John's fan.
