I am incredibly proud of this one.

Julian and I really cover it all from hitting a wall in the middle of his freshman year, the unbelievable amount of time he put in the gym heading into and during the Sophomore year with Chris Huey. He goes in depth about the wrist injury which derailed his NBA combine after his Sophomore year and ultimately brought him back for year 3 lots of never before heard details here. We discussed what it was like being the focal point of defenses last year, him being the leader and how all that played into his season's ups and downs.

He heaped praise on Joel Soriano and Posh and Dylan. Gave his thoughts on Brandon Williams who he sees in a similar light as himself and takes us through the tough draft night on June 23, plus the call from Philadelphia.

Julian is gearing up for his season in the NBA and always promised me he'd find the time to sit down to do this. I am 100% bias but I love the kid and really hope he succeeds at the next level.

I do hope you enjoy. Those traveling on labor day please be safe, and perhaps Julian and I can join you for the ride. Thank you again to everyone here for their comments and support, I can't say thank you enough.

Looking forward to listening to the Julian podcast over the long weekend. I finally got around to listening to the one on DR trip and Soriano (we were up in NJ/NY for several days visiting family and attending the U.S. Open). Podcast was great, really enjoyed it!

One thing I hope people take away from this is how bright and personable Julian is. I mention it but the description of him was always quiet and shy and reserved. I found him to give great thoughtful, humorous and personality filled responses. Made for a really easy conversation

Was absolutely my pleasure to preview the season ahead with Pat who is such a great SJU fan. As is Tim who does a great job on the storm chasers pod with his three other hosts.

This last episode is for the SJU lovers - this is the bar banter with buddies. I really enjoyed it. Here's to a great season ahead in less than 2 months

Final Stat Line for Julian Champagnie Tonight: 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 5-10 from the floor, 3-7 from deep, +/- of +17 in 18 minutes.

Actually the box score shows Julian with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists & 2 steals; 3 of 7 from three.

What’s he doing now??
Trying to get called up from the G-League. The Blue Coats have some nice pieces to go along with Champ and his Philly teammates. Mac McClung is on the team as well as some other players with NBA experience. Should be a great growth opportunity. As much as I loved watching him exceed expectations at St John's, I wasn't sold on Champ making it in the league but like Neo, I'm starting to believe. He just needs to keep getting stronger and working on his defense, I think he will be fine shooting the ball.

"The Delaware Blue Coats have finalized their roster for the 2022-23 G League season, they announced on Thursday. Headlining the team is a trio of Philadelphia 76ers, Jaden Springer, Julian Champagnie and Michael Foster Jr., with the latter two on two-way contracts. Coby Karl is back for his second season as head coach of the Blue Coats. In his first year, he helped lead Delaware to the G League Finals, where they were swept by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the best-of-three series."
