Extreme Possibilities For St. John's

That was a refreshing change from the critical exchanges that go on here.

Donny Marshall said "If you lose a guy like Pointer you are going to have a bigger problem than losing a guy like Harrison."

1) I don't agree with that
2) Right or wrong, if we lose either guy, then insert fork, we're done.

I agree tat we can't afford to lose anyone right now. Not because any one of them is necessarily irreplaceable, but because we have no one to replace them with. (See Johnnyfan posts 1-1001 re 2014 recruiting cycle.)

Nonetheless, gor those of us who still support this team, no one has been more possitive about our team this year than Donny Marshall. I hope we don't let him down.

We heard the exact same thing at the exact same time last year. No offense Donny, but let us make the tourny first before we start touting possible deep runs.

I honestly think if we get there we will raise our level of play and given the right matchups can go a few rounds in.

With that being said this team is holding on by a thread to a bid at the moment. Injuries are piling up on DLo and CO, so things, that looked so good last Saturday, all of the sudden don't look so good.

This team is as up and down as you get, and I'm just worried about especially the Xavier game. Obekpa was only 50% against Xavier but he still was huge when he came in and bothered stain. Plus we built a lead against Xavier with healthy DLo dropping 13 and then barely held on with him hurt second half and now he's still hurt. Plus you can't count on Jamal to score 11 like he did the first time. Plus X is going for revenge. DLo now has injured both calves.

The tournament bid might hinge on rysheed Jordan playing like a 5 star prized recruit. He has been bad these last few games. He needs to pick it up.

Overall last Saturday I was very confident now I'm worried as hell.

I agree Jack. Tomorrows game has me extremely worried. If D-Lo and CO are not able to play at 85% we are in trouble.

We are not consistent & deep enough to not worry about any remaining game. Beat Seton Hall!

No game is a given with this St John's team
On our best day, I really believe that we can beat almost anyone
On our worst day, I know that we could lose to almost anyone
Hopefully, we have many more "best" days down the stretch
