ESPN College Hoops Top 100 Player Rankings

Some love on the CBS top 100 list;

Harrison #53
Obekpa #96
Jordan #99

Damn, I actually was going to predict that Harrison lands around 55, but was too lazy to post.

I think if they revisit the list after the season, Harrison jumps 20 positions and Obekpa 30+.

Dont worry, its an awful list. Whitehead is good, but ahead of Hilliard, 30 spots higher than Jordan, and Archiadacono not even listed?

The Whitehead rating seems just a tad premature. That kid has a ton of pressure on him, will be interesting to see how he responds.

SJU has more players on this list than any other Big East team.

Whitehead is the goods in my opinion. He'll be very very good this season.
Better than Hilliard? Eh, that's tough to say. But he won't be far off.
His ranking may be slightly inflated, but honestly I can't complain. He's that good.

WHAT?! :furious:

You're kidding right?

SJU seems to get a lot more love from CBS than ESPN.

The WWL has now released 20 to 100 and no Johnnies have made the cut

I skimmed thru it so maybe i missed Harrison, but don't think so - and i cant imagine he cracks the top 20

Yea hard to take one very serisouly when it has Whitehead, Brad Waldow, and Kellen Dunham, but omits Dlo.

Harrison not being on this list is a joke. How does a first team pick from a major conference not make a list of 100 players?

-Top 40 recruit in 2011
-2013-2014 Big East First Team selection
-Two-time Alll-MET First Team selection, and one time Second Team Selection
-2013-2014 MET Player of the Year
-2011-2012 Big East Rookie Team Selection
-On pace to be the all-time second leading scorer for the a team that is top ten all-time in wins
-Marillac's favorite player

This is bullsh*t.

I think Harrison, as the de facto leader of the team, is being penalized for the team's failure to come through at the end of last season. Which isn't fair. Either that, or ESPN has an anti-shaved-eyebrow thing going on.

The highest ranked player from the conference was Pinkston from Nova at 39 (unless I missed someone).

As for our players not being ranked, hopefully they will use it as motivation and a chance to prove themselves.

Maybe Jordan will read it and put off his NBA dreams for a year or two. If he isn't even considered a top 100 player in the United States, he sure as heck ain't going to get drafted by anyone.

I dont think there was one player from the BE listed on the All American Teams or even listed below in othesr receiving votes.
