End of the Line for Calhoun?

You break a hip at his age, you're done! Trust me, I used to work with seniors as an orderly. They all do well until they break a hip.

I am not a Calhoun fan but having said that I do not wish a broken hip on anyone.

I hope Calhoun mends and comes back so Steve Lavin can beat him fair and square.

Sure hope for George Blaney's sake he has some bonus clauses in his contract. He's been -- and looks like he'll continue to be -- racking up some big hours filling in for Jimbo.

(Trivia: Blaney was one of the six B's who played for the inept Knicks in the '61-'62 season (the others being Donnis Butcher, Dave Budd, Al Butler, Cleveland Buckner, and Ed Burton).

I think they might usher Kevin Ollie in sooner rather than later if Jimmy C can't make it back. Theyd likely keep Blaney on board for continuity. I'd still like to see him coach out his contract or at least this season if he's able to. Not the way to go out.

Ollie has been an assistant coach at Uconn for all of two years. What makes him the most qualified replacement to fill the shoes of a coaching legend? I

I didn't say he was most qualified. That's what Jim Calhoun wants and what just about every Uconn fan expects to happen.

We all know that......it was a general question to open up the discussion regarding Kevin Ollie's rise from NBA role player to Uconn head coach.

OMG! I just realized that I sounded almost like Marco Baldi on JJ with "throwing something out there"!

Not a lover at all of Calhoun but the man has been fantastic at  CONNU.
It will be a shame if this is the way his career has to end. Health wise he certainly has not has it easy the last few seasons.
For his sake I hope his surgery goes well.
