The College of the Holy Cross commencement included a surprise appearance by Alum Dr. Anthony Fauci. His message was inspiring to all 2020 college graduates

He is a national treasure, and daresay proud native of my original home borough of Brooklyn.

He is a graduate of Regis high school. In my day Regis Loughlin and Stuyvesant were the top 3 high schools in NYC

He has done a taped message for the Regis graduation next week as well. Very loyal to his schools and Jesuit education

Regis grads should be proud, they get in and then have a world class Jesuit education for free. It is a remarkable school.

In my time, the lesser version was Brooklyn Prep also Jesuit and difficult to get into. But if I had gone there would have had to transfer they closed halfway through my high school days.

Bronx High School of Science and Brooklyn Tech were also premier public high schools in NYC.

Thanks for not including Stuyvesant with those lesser schools, Class of '60.

Stuy is the best public school in the city but there are a lot more quality public high schools out there than 15-20 years ago

Different in many ways but than a Regis education or another top catholic school
