The schedule for the SJU men’s basketball team's upcoming foreign tour to the Dominican Republic has been set, as the Red Storm will play three games in four days in mid-August.
The Johnnies will kick off action in the Caribbean against the Dominican U22 National Team on Friday, Aug. 12, at 4 p.m. in Santo Domingo. The game will be held at Palacio de los Deportes Virgilio Travieso Soto.
Two days later on Aug. 14, the Red Storm will face off against GUG All-Stars, a professional team affiliated with a basketball legend in both Queens and the Dominican Republic: Felipe Lopez. The contest, which will tip off a 1 p.m., will take place at Gran Arena del Cibao located in Santiago de Los Caballeros, Lopez's hometown.
The final contest of the Red Storm's foreign tour will take place the following day in Santo Domingo, as the Johnnies will take on the Dominican Senior National Team at Palacio de los Deportes Virgilio Travieso Soto. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
A live video stream and statistics for each of the Red Storm's three international contests will be available to the general public. Broadcasts outlets will be announced at a later date.
