As we are getting ready for this season , my thoughts again turn to D J Kennedy. Does anyone have an update on how and what he is doing ?

i asked this same question months ago. nobody replied. i have searched the internet looking for anything on his status. not a good job on our part at all. red storm sports should have done some sort of follow up.

He had a really bad injury, you guys think he is playing ball already?

not at all. i would just like to know how hes doing with his rehab and moving forward.

Maybe we will see him at a game or 2 this season-- i bet he comes to watch a few.

He gave us such wonderful efforts for four years , I would think that someone would have some info on his present status .

his rehab all depends on how much of a tear he had, and how he responded to surgery. If he's not able to resume playing, it may be a good opportunity to pursue grad school, which will advance his career once he hangs up the sneakers.

I'm told the Knicks got a steal through Erie BayHawks local tryouts with former St. John's wing D.J. Kennedy.

Great news for DJ. Hopefully we'll see him in a Knicks uniform one day. :cheer:

I remember David Cain being Pat Riley's last cut during training camp. Riley gave Cain a lot of minutes in the final exhibition game at the Garden. He said cutting Cain was one of teh toughest things he had to do. Riley loved Cain's work ethic. Unfortunately for Cain, that Knick team was a veteran group without any open spots.

I know Postell made the Knick roster for a couple of seasons, but he had no shot of playing behind Sprewell and Houston.

But if Kennedy makes the roster, he has a shot to play a little. He is a good kid, will work hard, and has a skillsets that can be useful in the NBA. I will be rooting for him hard.

One last thing, I thought all NBA related events, were not allowed due to the lockout.

That confused me too.

The NBDL is still operating despite the lockout. I believe they have there draft tomorrow night.
