I was on the phone a few times with the SJU ticket office. For those of you who don't know Melissa, she worked for many years with Dennis Myron, and then replaced him. I spoke to her about one of my pet peeves, discounted tickets after the season starts that are offered by various organizations. Melissa patiently explained to me that this is out of control of SJU when that happens. I then pitched my idea to offer discounts in season for season ticket holders to purchase additional tickets for friends or family attending games with them. Melissa informed me today that she pitched my idea, and the athletic department is implementing it. I don't know the exact details, but she said with the new electronic ticketing options this has been implemented and is being put into service.
Just thought you guys would want to know this. IF you haven't spoken to Melissa, she is a passionate rooter of all things St. John's and is a pleasure to speak/work with.
