I don't ever recall us even being mentioned with him.

Obviously once he left Hall we couldn't get involved on the rebound.

I recall him not wanting to follow in his brothers' footsteps at St. John's. Also, there was a big issue with his high school grades back then I believe. Iona got a gem in Glover and I think he will be a fine pro in Europe for many years. Not sure he has the motor for the NBA but he will will get looks.
 
Norm, missed out on many recruits.

I think Charles Jenkins was a big one he was a fellow Springfield Gardens alum, did Norm ever offer him a scholarship at all?

Yes he did offer Jenkins. But I think there was talk of him redshirting.

Didn't Jenkins flat out say he wanted to play for the best team in the area, Hofstra? And wasn't he redshirted at Hofstra?

I do remember Glover saying he wanted to make his own name, but I don't think Norm went after him hard. I still believe Norm could have wrapped him up with the AG connection before Glover blew up, but it's all moot now since Glober never qualified.

I could be wrong but I thought he wanted to play ASAP and went to Hofstra.
