Despite Renovations MSG May Still Relocate

I hope they keep MSG right where it is.. I would think attendance would suffer if the convenience of heading downstairs to Penn Station is gone.

I agree 100% Beast, I can't even think of another place in Manhattan where they could relocate to for that matter.

My brother is in the construction industry. The build-out over the LIRR rail yards to the West of Penn Station is definitely happening. Don't know how it affects the Garden.

Old railyards still undeveloped? I've been out of NYC for years, but I know there were plans on and off to build a sports complex there.

There is still plenty of garbage that should be torn down in the wonderful west 30's and other blocks nearby, and that's even not including the old rail yards and other locations on the west side.... although interestingly enough, there was recent news in the papers on development activities in the west 30s:

CITY ROOM; First Tower at Hudson Yards Site Signs Three Major Occupants

One quote: "The developers Related Companies and Oxford Property Group announced Wednesday that they had completed the financing for a 47-story tower at the northwest corner of 30th Street and 10th Avenue and signed up three tenants for the building: Coach, the luxury retailer; L’Oreal USA, the beauty products company; and SAP, a leading software company."
