Wish I was able to comment on the main forum to some of the comments but I will try to be brief and fair.
Our defense was a hot mess. Freeman-Liberty was allowed to have a career record game with little defensive adjustment by Anderson. That said, I would select him on my team over Champagnie for his offensive determination. The guy wants the ball and looks for it. Champ not so much..
DePaul is better than its record with some nice players. Except for Wheeler DePaul did better with the process of integrating their grad players.
Our substitutions never made either the defense or offense better.
Key unforced turnovers hurt us again with Champagnie throwing the ball away twice.
Unless there are some strategic changes made against Xavier and Marquette the season will end with a. 500 team or Anderson's first losing season.
My money is on the latter.
